BRANDED PROFILE CHECKLIST:

  1. Profile Picture — Clear, on-brand, and high-res. No blurry selfies, please—this isn’t your high school yearbook.

  2. Username — Consistent across platforms and easy to remember. If you can help it, leave the underscores, dashes and numbers out.

  3. Bio — Snappy, unique, and true to your brand voice. Include a call to action (CTA) or tagline that makes people curious. We recommend keeping it 3 lines or less.

  4. Cover Image — Think of it as your billboard. Keep it visually striking and aligned with your brand’s color palette.

  5. Link in Bio — Don’t let this real estate go to waste! Include your website, recent offers, or must-read content.

  6. Pinned Content — Highlight your best work, most informative info or current promotions. Think of this as your MySpace Top 9.

  7. Brand Voice and Tone — Every caption, story, and reply should sound like you. Stay consistent—whether you’re cheeky, formal, or anything in between. Also, are their any word stylings keeping you “on-brand”. Example: On Braaand’s profile, we use the ALL CAPS and arrow on the first line.

  8. Visual Style — Color palette, fonts, and imagery must feel cohesive. Consider what elements are killing the vibe? Is it the random color, the inconsistent font, a particular image?

  9. Content Calendar — Stay active and relevant with a posting schedule. Consistency is key—no one likes a ghost (unless it’s Halloween). We like to think of rituals our community is expecting from us!! Example: Every Thursday, we send out a newsletter. Every Wednesday we’ll remind you. Ever Friday, we round up all of our content on stories. Etc etc etc.

  10. Engagement Strategy — Have a plan for interacting with followers. Respond to comments, DMs, and mention others. Make it clear you’re a real human, not a social media bot. This also encourages YOU to be playful about the game of social marketing.
